Cassville, GA – Congressional candidate and former State Senator Barry Loudermilk today announced that Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap has endorsed Barry’s campaign.
“Sheriff Millsap has earned the respect of Bartow County through a lifetime of dedication to fighting crime and public service,” Barry said. “He’s tough, fair and involved in the community even when he is off duty.”

Biography of Sheriff Millsap
Before taking over the role of Sheriff, Clark Millsap had a history of service in law enforcement with the Cartersville Police Department and the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office. He was born February 7, 1962 in Cartersville, Georgia to Carlos and Audrey Millsap, Sheriff Millsap graduated from Cass Comprehensive High School in 1980.
Sheriff Millsap earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice in 1984 from the University of West Georgia in Carrollton. He is a member of the National Sheriff’s Association, the Georgia Sheriff’s Association and the Georgia Jail Association.
Sheriff Millsap has served with the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office for a total of fifteen years, ten as Sheriff and five more as a Patrol Officer and Investigator. He also served eleven years with the Cartersville Police Department on Patrol as well as Investigations.
He is married to Mrs. Lori Millsap and has three sons David Millsap, Zachary Millsap, and Logan Millsap. He and Lori attend Sam Jones United Methodist Church, in Cartersville.
