Cassville, GA, June 2, 2014 – Barry Loudermilk today announced the addition of State Representatives Michael Caldwell (R-20) and Scot Turner (R-21) to his growing list of endorsements.
Rep. Michael Caldwell (R-20)
“Barry Loudermilk is a Conservative leader and a constitutionalist. Having served with him in our State Legislature, I can personally attest to Barry’s heart for defending our liberties and the Great American experiment,” Caldwell stated. “There is no man that I would trust more to fight for our families in the United States Congress than Barry Loudermilk.”
Rep. Scot Turner (R-21)
“I first became a fan of Barry Loudermilk when he was in the State House, and stood against wasteful spending in the state’s supplemental budget. The budget was filled with pork, just before the housing crisis caused the Great Recession. Many politicians, even Republicans, could not foresee the end of the gravy train; but Barry Loudermilk realized that those extra taxpayer dollars should be returned to the taxpayers. And even though his political career was threatened, he did the right thing. That spirit, that courage, to do what is right without fear of consequence, is why I am proudly supporting Barry Loudermilk for Congress. I know he will fight for my children’s futures without getting snared in the muck of Washington.
“Representatives Turner and Caldwell are tremendous additions to our team. They both get it. They understand the proper role of government and the vision of our founders,” said Loudermilk. “I appreciate their principled leadership in the General Assembly, and I am humbled and thankful to both of them for standing with me in my campaign to go to Washington DC to help get our nation back on track.”
Note: Representative Turner attended the Cobb Young Republicans June meeting on Tuesday in Marietta to introduce Mr. Loudermilk and make his endorsement public. The event was well attended and the group was very receptive to Loudermilk’s message of smaller government and more individual responsibility.
