Cassville, GA – State Senator and congressional candidate Barry Loudermilk today announced that former sole Bartow County Commissioner Clarence Brown has agreed to chair Loudermilk’s Congressional campaign in Bartow County.
“No-one is more respected in Bartow than Clarence Brown, and it is a real honor to have him aboard as our county chairman,” Barry said. He is esteemed statewide, as well, as a great leader and a man of high character. We are extremely fortunate to have him leading our Bartow team.
“I’ve known Barry for many years and it has been a great friendship,” Brown said. “We’ve never had anyone from Bartow County to represent us in Washington, and I can’t think of anyone in the whole state I’d rather see in Congress.”
Clarence Brown served as sole Bartow County Commissioner for over 21 years, retiring in 2012. Prior to that, he was the county’s Public Works Director and Bartow’s first County Administrator. He and his wife, Carol, have been married for 51 years. They have three children and eight grandchildren.
