Cassville, GA – Congressional candidate and former State Senator Barry Loudermilk today announced to formation of “Veterans for Loudermilk” which will work to help elect Barry – himself an Air Force veteran – to the U.S. Congress.

Chairing the effort will be Maj. (Ret) Timothy F. Johnson, Ph.D. Dr. Johnson is the Founder and National President/CEO of the Frederick Douglass Foundation

“I have known Barry Loudermilk for many years and words like integrity and character are the first that come to mind when his name is mentioned. Barry is exactly the kind of statesman we need to send to Washington. As a fellow veteran and as a friend, I proudly endorse Barry Loudermilk for U.S. Congress,” Dr. Johnson said.

“It’s exciting to have a team of veterans of this caliber supporting our campaign,” Barry said.  “This is a group of people who will work hard and succeed in achieving their objective and they will be a powerful force.”

Graduating ‘as an Honor Graduate’ from the United States Army Ammunition Advance Individual Training School, Dr. Johnson was later commissioned as a Second Lieutenant through the University of Arizona Wildcat Battalion. Serving a combined 23 years, he attained the rank of Major and received numerous military honors.

Dr. Johnson has appeared on the big screen in “Runaway Slave” and on a number of television interviews and radio talk shows, as well as quoted in numerous news outlets.

Dr. Johnson is also the State Chairman of the Georgia Jail Diversion and Trauma Recovery for Veterans Advisory Council, President/CEO of Leadership 101 Training and Consulting Services, LLC.  He served previously as an Associate Professor of Military Science at Howard University, Washington, DC, and an adjunct instructor at Bryant-Stratton Business College, Beachwood, Ohio and Shaw University, Raleigh University. He holds degrees from the University of Arizona, Troy University and LaSalle University.

Dr. Johnson is the proud father of four grown children and six grandchildren. He resides in Atlanta, GA.
